The Easter Services are a memorial that marks the passion, crucifixion, vicarious death and resurrection of Jesus Christ,
the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings
. Palm Sunday marks the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem to prepare for and
observe the Jewish Passover. On the following Thursday, now known as Maunday Thurdsay, Jesus
transformed the Passover meal to become the Lord's Table (Communion), Jesus broke the bread and poured the wine, sharing these with His disciples,
the bread representing His body saying 'This is My body broken for you, do this in rememberance of Me'
and the wine representing His blood saying 'This is My blood shed for the remission of sins, drink ye all of it'
That evening Jesus was betrayed, and throughout that night and the next day He was tried, flogged, made a mockery of then crucified on what is now termed
Good Friday. On the third day (counting Friday as day 1) Jesus rose from the dead on what is known as
Easter Sunday - - Hallelujah!.
Jesus Christ is risen - He is risen indeed
