Fellowship with other local churches

For special Chrisian festivals, such as Christmas and especially Easter, these three churches enjoy Christian fellowship with other reformed Christian denominations, especially Shettleston New. The ministers at these churches are as follows:
Kenmuir Mount Vernon and Carmyle - Rev Murdo MacLean
O.L.M.                   - Rev Dr Roland Hunt (PhD)
Sandyhills                                            - (currently vacant)
Shettleston New                                  - Rev Louis Reddick
The congregation of Carmyle and Kenmuir also enjoys close fellowship with another local congregation of Bargeddie Parish Church (although this church is in a different presbytery).
For special evening services or special events we either join with them or they with us. When special events, including some on Saturday evenings, are organised and hosted by any of the reformed and evangelical churches in the locality, the others are invited to join with the host church and enjoy Christian fellowship, one with the other.
Special events might include Quiz Nights, Burns Suppers, Country Dancing, 'Songs-of-Praise' services, Concerts, Choirs, etc.

Outreach Initiatives

In adition to the above Carmyle church and Kenmuir Mount Vernon church organise specific Outreach activities. For example, around Easter leaflets are distributed to all homes in the parish inviting everyone to participate in the extensive programme of excellent Evangelical speakers who are invited to conduct services including Maunday Thursday and Good Friday as well as the Easter Day evening services. Kenny Mason (the church organist) also creates a wonderful Christmas concert that packs the church. Children as well as adults (of all ages) enjoy a most enterttaining evening of singing Christmas hyms and carols with special guest singers.

Regular Outreach Activities

On-going outreach, organised by Ann Gourlay continues throughout the year with

the T.L.C (the Loving Circle)
with the Quaich Pastoral Care initiative
and the Cafe Church
